  • Your printing is not satisfactory (lines, marks, ...) with your Large Format printer. What should you do?

Clean the print head using the printer maintenance tool (refer to the printer user manual). If the first cleaning is not satisfactory, we recommend waiting 1 hour and then starting a second cleaning. This rest period will make the cleaning more effective. If after 3 cleanings the quality has still not improved, then the cartridge should be considered defective. If these actions do not correct the problem, it is necessary to have the cartridge replaced.

  • Your printout is not satisfactory (lines, gaps, ...) with your copier. What should you do?

1- Remove the cartridge and visually check if an abnormal ink deposit is visible, in this case replace the cartridge. 2- If there is no external sign of failure, gently shake the cartridge so as to homogenize the powder distribution and then try printing again. 3- Test another cartridge in order to determine whether the origin of the fault is related to the cartridge or the printer. If the cartridge is responsible for the printing problem then replace it.

  • Your wide-format printer reports a detection problem when you have just installed a new cartridge.

Check that you have installed the cartridge reference that corresponds to your printer model. Check that the cartridge is placed in the correct slot in the printer, especially if several cartridges are replaced simultaneously. Switch the printer off and on again before reinstalling the cartridge. If these actions do not correct the detection problem, it is necessary to have the cartridge replaced.

  • Your cartridge is empty, what should you do with it?

The cartridges are Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and must therefore be treated by approved channels. They must be placed in a collection point so that they can be recycled by a professional. You can contact your retailer so that he can inform you of the location of these collection points.

  • Your franking machine reports a detection problem when you have just installed a new postage meter cartridge.

Check that you have installed the cartridge reference that corresponds to your printer model. Check that you have removed all protective elements. If necessary, wipe the electrical contacts with a lint-free cloth to remove any dust that may block detection. For some cartridges, it is necessary to press firmly on the top in order to position the cartridge and align the electrical contacts. Switch the printer off and on again before reinstalling the cartridge. If these operations do not solve the problem, the cartridge must be replaced. Make sure that the cartridge is correctly installed (it must not move in its position). Make sure you have not removed any part of the cartridge other than the protective cover. Some removable parts are used to detect the cartridge. If these actions do not correct the detection problem, it is necessary to have the cartridge replaced.
